Happy Sunday

Hello there. Today I want to share with you some of the cards I have made using the new Stamp of Approval - Young at Heart Collection. If you are not familiar with this collection, it is a collection of stamps, dies and at times stencils and other crafty things such as sequins or a sparkly pen.  These collections are created by Catherine Pooler and come out four times a year. So far there has been four collections and I love them all!  The latest collection is birthday themed and amazing.  Enough with the small talk... here is what I have created so far.

For this card I also used the flowers and greenery from the Gina K Designs Stamp TV Kit.

This card was a CASE'd from a card by Iliana Garza Myska That I saw on Facebook.

The colored panel on these cards were inspired by a video on you tube by Jennifer McGuire that showed the Stamping over Stamping technique.

I hope you liked what you saw and Have a great Sunday!!

Hello Heart

Good afternoon, It is hard to believe it is Thursday!!  The Theme for the Mod Squad Challenge Blog this week is From The Heart. The Challenge over at StampNation is an inspiration Photo Challenge. I used the inspiration photo and the Hearts theme and created this card.

I used the vented heart die and painted Hello die from Simon Says Stamp, the background is from a Sizzix embossing folder.

Thanks for coming by my little blog.

Challenge Card

I mixed together a few techniques I have learned over that last few weeks to make this card.  I used the stencil from the new Stamp TV kit and inked it up on Kraft cardstock with white pigment ink. Next I moved the stencil up and to the left and inked with candied apple distress ink. The final touch was to ink up a scripty background stamp with the distress ink and stamp it over the stencil. I added the simple sentiment layered on a die cut circle.

I am entering the card in this weeks Stamp TV's Mix it up Monday Challenge and the Mod Squad Challenge Blog.

Thanks for coming to take a look.

Techique Tool Box Creative Stenciling

Lesson #1 -  The Basics of stenciling. I used stencils  with distress inks and round ink blenders to create a background for our card and then embellish and finish the card.

For this card I used the staggered Hearts stencil from MFT,  Abandoned Coral distress ink. I also sponged and cut out the hearts with Stitched Heart Stax Dies, also from MFT and the sentiment is from All you need is Love by Unity Stamp Co.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look and please leave a comment. I read and love them all.

Your in stamping,
Susan
