February Reminder

Welcome to this months Calling All Sistahs reminder to do your monthly self-breast examination and to book your mammogram if it is due. Please be sure to visit the blog and see what the other Sistahs have made this month.
My card for you this month is Love themed since it was just Valentines Day. This background of this card was inspired by a video I watched from Jennifer McGuire, she calls this technique Ink & Stamp Layered Backgrounds.

For my background I First stamped Full on Floral Background with white pigment ink, thenlet it dry really well. Once it was dry I sponged on It's a Girl and Party Dress from Catherine Pooler Designs. Then I stamped the larger of the two stamps fromTin Roof with white pigment ink and let it dry. The final layer was stamped with Party Dress Ink using the Full on Floral stamp.  Once the card was good and dry I used a stitched Heart die to cut out my heart and added a white heat embossed sentiment by combining sentiment from both the Calling All Sistahs and Hope Ribbon stamp sets from the Calling All Sistah's Collection from Casual Fridays Stamps. (50% of the profits from the sale of items in this collectio are donated to breast cancer research and and awareness programs).  To assemble my card I mounted the backgrouns layer to a white top folding card base, added the Heart poped up on foam tape, and then to add some bling I cut strips of silver shimmer paper to the bottom and right and added a small heart cut from the same paper popped up on foam tape.

If you are still here with me I would like to say thanks for coming by my blog today and please come back for tomorrow's Calling All Sistahs Encouragement Challenge.
