Creative Stencil Techniques Day 2

Today was all about was all about using embossing paste through your stencils and either coloring the paste prior to spreading it or sponging over it.  I used the Halftone stencil from Altenew and some Dreamweaver embossing paste and using a palette knife spread the white paste through my stencil.

I let it dry and the sponged Flirty Fuchsia, Aquatini, Tutti Fruitti and Lime Rickey Inks from CP designs over the paste. Then I wanted to make a space sky for my Space Explorer from MFT, so I sponged Midnight ink over all the bright colors.  I stamped and colored my images and sentiment and once completed added some platinum Liquid Pearls "stars".

Thanks for coming by and having a look

Celebration: Creative Stencil Techniques Day 1

I am taking a class over at Altenew Academy by Laurel Beard where we are learning Creative stencil techniques. For day 1 homework we had to cut a stencil out of cardstock using dies. Here is my cards I made for this day.

I used the stencil, made using the Shutter cover cover plate die from Altenew, along with Flirty Fuchsia, Lime Rickey and Aquatini inks from Catherine Pooler Designs. I inked through the stencil to make a background for my card and then used the stencil piece itself on a second card. I stamped and colored the images from the Celebrate stamp set and sentiments from Label Love stamp set by Altenew to match my backgrounds.

I hope you have a great day!!

CFC172 - Pink, Navy & White

Happy Sunday. I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. I received some Happy Mail this week and decided to try out this weeks color challenge.

For my card I stamped the Full On Floral background stamp on a piece of white cardstock using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and it a amazing!  I only stamped once using my Misti and the image came out perfect. I also stamped the sentiment from the new stamp set Floating, I love this sentiment. I then adhered my panel onto a card base of  navy cardstock, layered the sentiment using Fishtail Banners and added a few sequins from the Sistahood Sparkle sequin mix.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will come on over and add your card to the challenge.

Happy Sunday
Susan
